Dolly House

Ricostruzione di una piccola casa

Location Rome, Italy

Year 2011-2012

Description A small building was used as a playhouse of an elegant villa. The size and proportions of this small pavilion, along with its artisanal character, creates a condition of isolation and reflection unusual in the surrounding urban environment. The tight relationship with the roman countryside is reinforced by some adjustments such as the 180-degree opening towards the portico of the three glass doors, the presence of skylights gathering the sunlight and directing the eyes towards the pine trees. A small woodstove makes up the heating system in harmony with the type of construction.
